Geochang-gun Operates Unmanned Civil Document Issuance Machines for Civil Complaint Documents Issuance
Free Issuance of 12 Types Including Resident Registration Certificate
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that it has installed and is operating a total of 14 unmanned civil service issuance machines at 12 locations within the county to provide high-quality administrative services to residents, including non-face-to-face civil service processing and convenience for residents.
From January to August this year, more than 50,000 civil certificate issuance requests were processed through the unmanned civil service issuance machines, with issuance of resident registration and family relationship registration-related documents accounting for about 25,100 cases, making it the most in demand.

View original imageThe unmanned civil service issuance machines are currently installed at 12 locations, including Geochang County Office, Geochang-eup and Gajo-myeon Administrative Welfare Centers, Geochang Court, Geochang Tax Office, Nonghyup Central Association Geochang Branch, Geochang Nonghyup Daedong Branch and Changnam Branch, Geochang Apple Horticulture Nonghyup, Geochang Livestock Cooperative Coaru Branch, Geochang County Forestry Association, and the National Health Insurance Corporation.
Additionally, 82 types of documents such as resident registration certificates, family relationship certificates, real estate registry copies, farmland registers, and educational certificates can be issued through fingerprint recognition alone, even without the individual's ID card.
In particular, the two types of resident registration certificates, eight types of family relationship registers, and two types of family register certificates, which have the highest demand, have been exempt from issuance fees since April 2022 and can be issued free of charge.
The operating hours are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at the county office, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Geochang-eup Administrative Welfare Center, and at other locations according to the working hours of the respective institutions where the unmanned civil service issuance machines are installed.
