The Commission stated, "As of the 28th, Secretary-General Kim Jin-seok will be dismissed, and Park Jong-hyun, Director of the Policy Research Center, has been appointed as Acting Secretary-General."
Secretary-General Kim was appointed in October 2021 during the tenure of former Chairperson Jeong Yeon-ju, and recently stepped down following the dismissal of former Chairperson Jeong. Earlier, President Yoon Seok-yeol dismissed former Chairperson Jeong and former Vice Chairperson Lee Kwang-bok on the 17th.
