The police have requested arrest warrants for two men in their 20s who fled after taking more than 100 million won by claiming to sell gift certificates at a cheap price.
According to the police on the 25th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul applied for arrest warrants for men in their 20s, Mr. A and Mr. B, on charges of special robbery.
Mr. A is accused of spraying gas spray on the face of a gift certificate dealer he met on the sidewalk in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 10:30 p.m. on the 22nd, and fleeing after stealing a bag containing 150 million won. It was investigated that Mr. A approached the victim via Telegram, claiming to sell department store gift certificates at a cheap price.

The police also arrested Mr. B, who drove Mr. A to the crime scene. The police confirmed that Mr. A and Mr. B changed their mobile phones immediately after the crime and are investigating whether there are more accomplices. Their pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) is scheduled to be held at the Seoul Central District Court this afternoon.
