Bang Moon-kyu, the nominee for Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated on the 22nd, "We will vigorously promote the total increase in exports, foster advanced industries, strengthen Korea-US-Japan industrial cooperation, complete the early restoration of the nuclear power ecosystem, and swiftly abolish regulations that hinder necessary restructuring and investment."

In his statement upon being nominated as minister, Bang said, "As the global economy rapidly changes, uncertainties in export, investment environment, and energy resource policies are increasing," adding, "I feel a heavy responsibility being nominated as the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at a time when strategic industrial policies are more important than ever."
Bang emphasized, "I will devote myself to continuously communicating with industries and experts so that our industries and companies can lead the global market."
