The ‘Baemin Vacation Lunchbox’ donation campaign, which gifts lunchboxes to children during school vacations, will be expanded and revamped through the launch of a dedicated website. Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok (CEO Lee Guk-hwan), announced on the 21st that they have launched a website for ‘Baemin Vacation Lunchbox,’ a social contribution project that cares for children’s meals and well-being during vacation periods. With the launch of this website, fundraising for Baemin Vacation Lunchbox, which was previously conducted only during vacation seasons, can now be done year-round.
‘Baemin Vacation Lunchbox’ is a donation campaign that gifts lunchboxes to children who may lack parental care during vacations, ensuring their health and well-being. It is conducted in partnership with the social welfare organization World Vision. Since its inception in the winter vacation of 2020 through the summer vacation of this year, a total of 9,724 people have participated in the sponsorship over six vacation periods. The cumulative amount raised is KRW 220,446,933, and so far, 35,37 children have received 68,714 lunch meals.
The launch of the Baemin Vacation Lunchbox website was made reflecting the opinions and voices of sponsors. Previously, the Baemin Vacation Lunchbox campaign was conducted through the Baemin app ahead of vacations, but going forward, it will be a year-round sponsorship program on the website where donors can contribute as much as they want regardless of timing. The website includes features that address sponsors’ questions and enhance convenience in donation activities, such as viewing individual sponsorship details, guidance on donation receipt processing, and disclosure of lunchbox menus.
