Middle School Girl Arrested in Mokpo for Posting Threatening Message About Stabbing Incident
A middle school girl who posted a message threatening to carry out a stabbing in the area of Peace Plaza in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, has been apprehended.
On the 19th, the Mokpo Police announced that they are investigating a 14-year-old girl, A, who posted a message on social networking services (SNS) predicting a stabbing crime.
The day before, A posted on her SNS account, "On Saturday, August 19, I will carry out a stabbing at Peace Plaza. I will kill many until I wake up from the dream." It is reported that she stated the post was about a dream she had and was posted on a private account.
Although A said she deleted the post on the same day, the screenshot of the crime prediction post spread among Instagram users, resulting in about 30 reports being filed with the police by the morning of that day. The police are verifying the exact circumstances with A.
