Another drone airstrike took place in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
According to major foreign media including DPA, on the 18th (local time), Sergey Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, announced via Telegram, "Around 4 a.m. today, a drone was intercepted by the air defense system and fell on a building in the Moscow Expo Center complex," adding, "There were no casualties."
The Expo Center complex, located about 5 km from the Kremlin, houses large exhibition halls and multipurpose venues. Some parts of the building were damaged by the drone crash.
Due to this incident, airports around Moscow, including Vnukovo International Airport, temporarily suspended flight operations. Some flights heading to Moscow were temporarily diverted to other nearby airports.
The Russian Ministry of Defense later issued a statement saying, "The Ukrainian regime carried out a terrorist attack on facilities in the Moscow region using drones." Ukraine has not yet responded to this. Ukraine has officially denied involvement in the recent series of attacks targeting Moscow.
