Feel the Charm of the Ancient Palace on an Autumn Night Carrying a Cheongsachorong Lantern
Cultural Heritage Administration's 'Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour' Next Month
An event to enjoy the charm of the royal palace with Cheongsachorong lanterns will be held at Changdeokgung Palace. It is the 'Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour' organized by the Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Division and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, taking place every Thursday to Sunday from next month 7th to October 22nd. Participants can experience the history, culture, and landscaping of Changdeokgung while listening to stories from cultural interpreters.
Changdeokgung Palace is a representative cultural heritage of Korea, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Among the remaining Joseon palaces, it is the best preserved in its original form. Especially, the rear garden is praised for its harmony with nature, containing over 160 species of trees.
Participants will tour Donhwamun Gate, Jinseonmun Gate, Injeongjeon Hall, Heejeongdang Hall, Nakseonjae Hall, Sangnyangjeong Pavilion, Buyongji Pond, Aeryeonjeong Pavilion, Yeongyeongdang Hall, and the forest paths of the rear garden for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Traditional art performances will also be enjoyed at Sangnyangjeong Pavilion and Yeongyeongdang Hall. The daily participation limit is 150 people, with departures at 7:00 PM and 7:50 PM.

Reservations are operated by lottery. Applications can be submitted on Ticketlink from 2:00 PM on the 22nd until the 27th. Winners can select their preferred date and time and complete their booking and payment from 2:00 PM on the 29th until September 3rd. The admission fee is 30,000 KRW per person.
