The event is structured to introduce various promising technologies through technology briefings and conduct one-on-one partnering and individual technology consultations. This year, technology presentations from 12 universities and medical institutions, including Seoul Asan Medical Center, Korea University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Konkuk University, are scheduled.
On the day, Lee Kyung-ho, head of the Industry Promotion Team at the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Association, will give a presentation titled "Introduction and Advancement Plans of the K-SPACE Platform." K-SPACE is a new drug candidate substance library platform designed to support the technology commercialization of the domestic pharmaceutical and bio industry. The association plans to enhance the content this year by adding pipelines and new platform technology categories, and to advance K-SPACE by establishing an online technology commercialization brokerage system and operating a technology commercialization advisory committee.
An association official stated, "The BioPharma Tech Concert is a meaningful opportunity to create new industries through the commercialization of basic and public technologies from universities and hospitals," adding, "It will serve as a networking venue encompassing pharmaceutical and bio companies, universities, hospitals, industry-academic cooperation foundations, venture capital (VC), and accelerators."
Applications and detailed information for the 15th BioPharma Tech Concert can be found in the announcements section on the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association website.
