‘Hap! Ki!’ Milyang Mayor's Cup Hapkido Tournament Held with Loud Spirit Shouts

The 3rd Miryang Mayor's National Hapkido Competition was held over two days, on the 12th and 13th, at the Gyeongnam Miryang Badminton Stadium.
Hosted and organized by the Miryang Hapkido Association, this event served as a venue for health promotion and harmony among Hapkido enthusiasts nationwide. About 500 athletes from 12 cities and provinces across the country participated, competing in 15 events including group demonstrations and self-defense techniques in a knockout tournament format.

The competition featured spectacular demonstration performances and exciting matches across various categories, offering a rich spectacle befitting a comprehensive martial arts event.
The city has successfully attracted and hosted various sports competitions such as Hapkido, badminton, park golf, and table tennis, enhancing its reputation as a leading sports city and contributing positively to local economic revitalization, recognized as a model case of sports marketing.
In his welcoming speech, Vice Mayor Heo Dongsik said, “We welcome Hapkido enthusiasts from across the country visiting during the 2023 Miryang Visit Year.
