Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Urges Safety Rules for Summer Water Play
Gwangju Seobu Fire Station announced on the 14th that it is urging special caution regarding water play safety accidents during the summer vacation season.
According to the fire department, as the number of vacationers visiting outdoor water parks, rivers, and valleys increases, related accidents are also on the rise.
The fire department explained that most accidents occur due to neglect or carelessness, such as failure to follow simple safety rules, which can lead to casualties.
Accordingly, Seobu Fire Station is focusing on the middle and lower reaches of Gwangjucheon within the Seobu jurisdiction to prevent water-related accidents by regularly inspecting water rescue equipment boxes and operating the 119 Citizen Water Rescue Team.
Safety rules before water play include ▲checking water depth before entering ▲refraining from diving ▲wearing safety equipment ▲swimming within safety lines and adhering to operating hours ▲prohibiting swimming under the influence of alcohol ▲confirming the location of rescuers and first aid stations.
