Jipyeong Brewery Launches 'Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli' Embodying 100 Years of Value
First Product from Cheonan New Factory
Jipyeong Brewery announced on the 11th that it has launched a new product, "Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli," which embodies 100 years of value and can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli is the first new product produced at the newly completed Cheonan factory in May, established to scientificize brewing. It received excellent evaluations in both quality and taste during sensory tests involving traditional liquor experts and all Jipyeong Brewery employees, ranking first among the products tested.
Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli is characterized by improved quality and elevated taste through systematic temperature control and advanced scientific technology. In particular, the core of Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli is the fermentation method, which is a newly reinterpreted version of the Iyangju (二釀酒) technique. The carbonation produced during fermentation blends with a soft and clean taste, creating a richer flavor and aroma.
The product name was inspired by Jipyeong Brewery’s promise to always present good makgeolli to accompany consumers throughout their lives. The packaging uses a retro emblem-style design and luxurious materials to evoke a friendly feeling, as if always being by one’s side, just like the word "Pyeongsaeng" (lifetime). Additionally, the green color expresses a stable, comfortable image and classic elegance. Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli plans to diversify its distribution channels, starting with medium to large supermarkets and expanding to large-scale marts.
