Changnyeong-gun Holds 3rd Quarter Integrated Defense Council Meeting
2023 Eulji Exercise Preparation Report and Preliminary Practical Consultation Conducted
On the 9th, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province held the 3rd quarter 2023 Military Integrated Defense Council meeting to establish a regional integrated defense posture in response to the rapidly changing security environment.
The meeting was attended by officials from Changnyeong-gun, the 2nd Battalion of Army Unit 5870 located in the region, as well as police, fire departments, and related agencies at the county office's military administration conference room.

During the meeting, preparations and the establishment of an integrated defense posture between local governments and related agencies in the event of a national emergency were reviewed.
In particular, reports on preparations for the smooth execution of the 2023 Eulji Exercise, scheduled from the 21st to the 24th, support plans for the exercise, and training preparations and cooperation matters among participating agencies were shared.

County Governor Seong Nak-in stated, “In the current unstable domestic and international security situation, establishing a firm regional security posture is more important than anything else,” adding, “Please ensure thorough inspections from the preparation process so that the training is substantial and safe, and strive to establish a strong security posture through exercises that simulate real combat.”
