Chungnam Province to Operate Indoor Programs for Jamboree Participants on October 10-11 Amid Typhoon Approaching

Chungnam Province announced on the 9th that as Typhoon Khanun approaches, the World Scout Jamboree participants staying in the province will participate in indoor programs for two days on the 10th and 11th.

In Chungnam Province, over 4,000 Jamboree participants from 18 countries are dispersed across 17 facilities in 7 cities and counties. The province plans to operate indoor programs in cooperation with each city and county, including visits to the Cheonan Independence Hall and Hong Dae-yong Science Museum, simulated shooting training in Asan, the Gijisi Tug-of-War experience in Dangjin, youth experience events in Cheongyang, pottery workshops in Gongju, and K-pop dance lessons. Additionally, traditional Korean music performances will be held at each accommodation to introduce Korean culture to the participants.
The province has formed a support team led by the Deputy Governor, organizing four divisions: General Support, On-site Response, Medical and Food Support, and Program Operation. On the same day, the Jamboree participants visited Daecheon Beach in Boryeong to experience mud activities.
The province also requested local police in charge of the respective cities and counties to strengthen patrols near the accommodations to ensure the safety of the Jamboree participants until their return home.

A provincial official stated, "We will ensure that the Jamboree participants stay safely and comfortably, taking with them the history, culture, flavors, style, and excitement of Chungnam."
