FKCCI Appoints Ryu Jin, Chairman of Poongsan, as New President of the Korea Entrepreneurs Association
The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) announced on the 7th that at the extraordinary general meeting to be held on the 22nd, it plans to change its institution name to the "Korea Entrepreneurs Association" and appoint Chairman Ryu Jin, Chairman of Poongsan, as the new president.
On May 18th, FKI announced an innovation plan to transform into a think tank-type economic organization by absorbing and integrating the Korea Economic Research Institute under its umbrella, and to change the institution name from the "Federation of Korean Industries," which has been used for 55 years, to the "Korea Entrepreneurs Association (HanKyungHyup)."

FKI emphasized the background of Chairman Ryu's nomination, stating, "He is an outstanding individual with experience, knowledge, and networks on the global stage, making him the right person to lead the newly reborn Korea Entrepreneurs Association to become a global think tank and a truly central global economic organization." Chairman Ryu has served as FKI vice chairman since 2001 and currently serves as the Korean side chairman of the Korea-US Business Council.
