The purpose is to instill Samsung’s ‘Together’ vision, which emphasizes sharing with society and growing together as the path to becoming the world’s best, before learning job tasks.
They are also operating an ‘Open Campus’ factory tour program for students participating in the Jamboree. Samsung Electronics offers tours of its semiconductor plants in Pyeongtaek or Hwaseong and the Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM) in Suwon, allowing global future talents to experience Korea’s advanced IT industry. Approximately 550 scouts participate in this program daily.
Medical volunteer services are also being provided. A medical support team consisting of 11 members?5 doctors, 4 nurses, and 2 support staff from Samsung Medical Center?has been conducting medical activities on-site since the 5th. Samsung C&T has supported the smooth movement of Jamboree operational staff within the site by providing 11 electric carts and 2 electric vehicles through its affiliated golf course, 7 sets of air-conditioned portable toilets, 5 water spraying trucks, and 5 generators.
LG has supported the prevention of heat-related illnesses among Jamboree participants by providing 10,000 neck coolers, portable fans, auxiliary batteries, and refrigerated trucks. They have also committed to supplying a total of 200,000 bottles of bottled water and ion drinks, 300 shade tents (MQ tents), and travel-sized personal care sets including shampoo and conditioner.
Additional support plans under consideration include providing shaved ice using food trucks, tours of the Innovation Gallery at LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul?which showcases LG’s future technologies and core products such as home appliances, robots, displays, automotive components, and batteries?smart factory tours at LG Electronics’ Changwon and Gumi plants, and nature ecology experience programs at Hwadam Forest, an ecological arboretum located in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.
Hyundai Motor Company is preparing a tour of its commercial vehicle production base at the Jeonju plant. Students will be supported to visit production lines for electric and hydrogen buses. Additionally, considering that the Jamboree closing ceremony (including a K-pop concert) will be held at Jeonbuk World Cup Stadium on the 11th, the schedule and venue for two Jeonbuk Hyundai home games originally planned for the 9th and 12th at the stadium have been changed.
HD Hyundai urgently deployed about 120 volunteers on-site. The volunteer team, composed of employees from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, provided emergency support including maintenance of facilities such as restrooms at the venue and will continue to assist with hygiene and safety management throughout the event. LS also provided emergency support with generators, large refrigerated containers, 100,000 bottles of water, and 50,000 cups of ice.
