Promotion of Main and Sub-Themes, Core Values, Candidate City Attractions, and Differentiators for 2030 Busan World Expo
Busan City will operate a promotional booth for the 2030 Busan World Expo at BEXCO Convention Hall from the 7th to the 11th, in connection with the 2023 Busan World Disabled Persons’ Games.
The 2023 Busan World Disabled Persons’ Games, themed “Global Great Transformation, Its Challenges and Opportunities,” is a large-scale international event with about 2,000 participants from 80 countries, held at BEXCO for five days from the 7th to the 11th.
This promotional booth was prepared to take advantage of the attendance of many member countries of the International Bureau of Expositions at the 2023 Busan World Disabled Persons’ Games, to promote Busan’s status as a global city leading human rights to the world, and at the same time actively promote the 2030 Busan World Expo that South Korea’s Busan is seeking to host.
The booth will feature ▲a large LED screen ▲ the Busan Initiative sculpture, through which the unique appeal and distinctiveness of Busan, South Korea, including the 2030 Busan World Expo candidate site, main and sub-themes, and guiding values, will be explained in detail to spread support for the bid.
The theme of the 2030 Busan World Expo, “The World’s Great Transformation, A Voyage Toward a Better Future,” along with three sub-themes?“Nature and Sustainable Life,” “Technology for Humanity,” and “A Place of Care and Sharing”?and six special elements unique to Busan for the great transformation will be introduced.
Additionally, the large LED screen will showcase overseas promotional videos featuring the changes in Bukhang, the candidate site for the 2030 World Expo, and the charms of Busan. The sculpture representing the Busan Initiative, designed as a lightbox, will actively promote the guiding values of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
In particular, in connection with the purpose of hosting the 2023 Busan World Disabled Persons’ Games, a separate section for “Care and Sharing” will be set up to focus on promoting “A Place of Care and Sharing,” one of the sub-themes of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
▲The “Care and Sharing” section introduces the spirit of care, inclusion, solidarity, and cooperation through elements such as “Big Data Silo” and the “Official Development Assistance (ODA) Memorial Hall,” presented by Professor Jinyanggyo from Hongik University during the 4th competitive presentation for the 2030 World Expo bid at the 172nd General Assembly of the International Bureau of Expositions.
Furthermore, a promotional team composed of university student supporters for the 2030 Busan World Expo will also be dispatched to introduce “A Place of Care and Sharing” and the “Busan Initiative” intensively to visitors at the booth.
Special events will also be held. Visitors who participate in the bid support declaration performance at the booth will receive a fan bearing a cheering message for the 2030 Busan World Expo bid.
