Jangseong-gun Provides Emergency Cooling Cost Support for Senior Citizen Facilities
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do has launched an emergency support program for cooling expenses at facilities used by elderly residents.
The county announced on the 6th that it will provide 300,000 KRW for cooling expenses for July and August to 340 senior centers in the area.
Additionally, 20 senior activity facilities will receive 200,000 KRW for two months' cooling expenses from the social welfare fund.
A county official stated, "As the heatwave continues, managing the health of elderly residents has become very important," adding, "We hope that senior centers and elderly activity facilities will have a comfortable and cool summer."
