Gwangju Buk-gu to Operate Visiting Art Classes Until November
On the 6th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will operate the 'I am also an Artist! Visiting Art Class' starting from the 7th.
The Visiting Art Class is a program aimed at realizing universal cultural welfare and revitalizing local culture and arts by providing residents with one-day cultural and artistic classes in various fields.
For the efficient operation of this art class, Buk-gu conducted a preliminary demand survey in March targeting local cultural and artistic institutions, encouraging the participation of 23 accessible cultural and artistic institutions in daily life, including the Buk-gu Cultural House, the National Gwangju Museum, and the Geumbong Art Museum. Participating institutions plan to provide venues for the programs and recruit students.
Additionally, to offer a rich program lineup, 60 cultural and artistic professionals active in the region were recruited as instructors, preparing educational content in various cultural and artistic fields such as fine arts, crafts, music, literature, photography, and webtoons.
The art classes are scheduled to be held 60 times until November 2nd, targeting about 20 participants per session, and any Buk-gu resident can participate.
