"Fix the fan!" Warrant for 70s suspect who killed inn owner
A warrant for the arrest of a man in his 70s has been requested for killing the owner of a lodging business over the refusal to fix a broken electric fan.
The Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 4th that they have requested an arrest warrant for A (76) on charges of murder.
A is accused of stabbing B (73), the owner of a lodging business in Gyelim-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, at around 11:35 a.m. on the 2nd.
He also assaulted B’s wife, who tried to stop him.
At the time of the crime, A was reportedly involved in a dispute with B over the repair of an electric fan.
He told the police that he had asked for the fan to be fixed, but was ignored and spoken to disrespectfully.
