Full-Scale Promotion of Visiting Local Culture Education Including Nongak and History Lectures at Schools in the District
Hwasun County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that the Hwasun Cultural Center’s ‘Visiting Cultural Arts Education and Performances’ are receiving positive responses from the local community.
Supported by the county, the ‘Visiting Cultural Arts Education and Performances’ program is fulfilling the cultural needs of students in the area and serving as a true learning space where they can directly see and experience the region’s historical culture on site.
Instructors and students of the Hwasun Cultural Center’s cultural school have formed a Nongak performance group and are visiting eight elementary schools in Hwasun, Hwasun Jeil Middle School, and Iyang Middle and High Schools to perform and conduct Nongak classes aimed at revitalizing Nongak.

In the second half of this year, the county plans to offer a variety of cultural performances including musical instrument playing, singing, and poetry plays to senior citizens at senior centers who receive medical services through the county’s excellent village doctor system.
