MRO Supports the 'K-Defense' Boom with Supply Chain Management Software
Hanwha Systems Defense Division Procurement System Reconstruction Project Contract Awarded
Emro, the No.1 AI-based supply chain management software company in Korea, is set to establish an efficient and transparent supply chain management system for Hanwha Systems' defense division.
On the 3rd, Emro announced that it had secured the 'Reconstruction of Purchasing and Import Management System' project for Hanwha Systems' defense division. Following Hanwha Aerospace, Hyundai Rotem, and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Hanwha Systems has been added to its client portfolio, strengthening its position in the 'K-Defense' sector.
Domestic defense companies are recognized for their competitiveness in overseas markets based on excellent technology, prompt delivery, and reasonable prices. To supply superior products at reasonable prices within a short period, close collaboration among numerous companies forming the supply chain and systematic supply chain management are essential.
As Hanwha Systems continues to secure large-scale contracts domestically and internationally, purchasing costs and assets are rapidly increasing, creating a growing need to improve the overall purchasing process and partner management system. Emro is responsible for rebuilding Hanwha Systems' defense division purchasing system based on the latest web standard technologies to enhance security and add various purchasing-related functions to improve purchasing work efficiency.
The newly developed purchasing system by Emro will also incorporate features to prepare for the delivery price linkage system to be implemented from October. Purchasing managers will be able to handle delivery price linkage-related tasks easily and conveniently in a one-stop manner within the purchasing system, without the need to individually negotiate contracts with numerous partners or frequently check raw material price fluctuations.
After system design, development, and integrated testing, Emro will establish the purchasing system for Hanwha Systems' defense division in the first half of 2024.
