City Labs, a smart city integrated platform company, and its affiliate Geurigo are promoting the activation of Personal Mobility.
City Labs announced on the 2nd that Geurigo, together with Locamobility, the operator of the transportation card eB Card, has launched a two-way transfer service between Jeju Island city buses and personal mobility.
City Labs has established an eB transportation card issuance system in the Geurigo app that allows payment for both Jeju city buses and personal mobility. This transportation card can be used on both modes of transportation. In particular, it offers reward benefits upon transfer, which can be used for personal mobility payments.
The company expects that this integration will further accelerate the increasing trend of Geurigo personal mobility users. Since the official service launch in April, the usage rate of the Geurigo platform has increased about 2.5 times by July. With the establishment of the transfer system, it will be possible to connect between distant personal mobility hubs via city buses, thereby improving accessibility to personal mobility hubs.
The service named Geurigo, operated by Geurigo, is an integrated operation platform for electric-based personal mobility such as kickboards, electric bicycles, and electric motorcycles. Recently, through business agreements with Jeju tourism platform operator ‘Caplix’ and F&B franchise ‘Make a Better’, they are promoting the construction of a next-generation personal mobility system linked with Jeju tourism and food content.

A City Labs official said, “Personal mobility, which has certain limitations on travel distance, can be complemented through this system integration with Locamobility, allowing for an expanded connection base between hubs. We also expect that the connection between transportation modes will have a positive effect on revitalizing tourism in the Jeju area.”
