View original imageA man in his 40s who broke into someone else's home by climbing through an apartment veranda and stole valuables has been arrested.
According to the Gimhae Jungbu Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 2nd, the arrested Mr. A was caught on suspicion of stealing valuables from an apartment in Samgye-dong, Gimhae City, at 8:13 p.m. on June 3.
Police reported that he noticed the lights were off and the veranda window was open at the victim's apartment on the 3rd floor, climbed up the veranda, broke into the victim's home, and stole cash and jewelry worth approximately 21.13 million won.
After stretching, Mr. A took just about 20 seconds to climb from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor and enter the victim's home.
Mr. A was previously sentenced to prison in 2021 for the same offense and is known to have committed the crime again during his probation period.
He is also reported to have accumulated debts worth tens of millions of won in Korea while running a massage business overseas.

The police identified the vehicle Mr. A used to get to the crime scene, apprehended him at a residence in Gimhae City, and sent him to detention.
