BPA and Busan Port Industry Join Forces to Support Flood Damage Recovery
Busan Port Authority (BPA) and related industries in Busan Port have joined forces to help the flood-affected areas recover quickly.
BPA, together with Busan Port-related industries, will donate 52.46 million KRW in cash and goods to the National Disaster Relief Association and the Community Chest of Korea.
A total of 15 companies participated in this flood recovery support.
The Busan Port Workers' Union, Busan Port Security Corporation, Busan Port Facilities Management Center, and Busan New Port Facilities Management Center each donated 5 million KRW. Ten Busan Port terminal operators also donated 2 million KRW each, totaling approximately 20 million KRW, and BPA donated about 12 million KRW.
The participating terminal operators are ▲Dongwon Busan Container Terminal ▲Busan New Port International Terminal ▲Busan New Port ▲Busan Container Terminal ▲Busan Port Terminal ▲BNCT ▲HMMP SA New Port ▲Intergis ▲Hutchison Korea Terminal ▲Hanjin Busan Container Terminal.
Kang Jun-seok, President of Busan Port Authority, said, “We hope for a swift recovery so that residents affected by the heavy rain can return to their daily lives as soon as possible, and the Busan Port community is united in this wish.”
BPA and Busan Port-related industries also jointly donated about 58 million KRW for the East Coast wildfire recovery last year.
