Busan City Holds Exhibition of Award-Winning Works from the 16th Record Love Contest
Exhibition Held from 2nd to August 15th at Busan Metro Line 1 City Hall Station Passage
Sharing Citizens' Aspirations for 2030 World Expo Busan Bid and the Importance of Record Culture
Busan City will hold an exhibition of the winning entries from the “16th Love for Records Contest” at the connecting passage of City Hall Station on Busan Metro Line 1 from the 2nd to August 15th.
The contest was held in collaboration with the National Archives of Korea under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for 40 days from March 2nd to April 10th. Approximately 600 entries were submitted across three categories?writing (poetry and prose), drawing (posters and calligraphy), and videos?under the themes of ▲hope for hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo and ▲“New Hope, New Start.” After evaluation by private experts, 45 final winning works were selected.

View original imageThis exhibition was jointly organized by Busan City and the National Archives of Korea to foster a favorable atmosphere for Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo and to promote record culture.
The exhibition features 27 works from participants of the awards ceremony.
The works on display include 27 pieces such as the grand prize-winning poster “Busan for Everyone, Busan of Hope,” the grand prize-winning calligraphy “From Tree to Sprout,” the grand prize-winning poem “It Starts Today,” and the grand prize-winning prose “My New Life in Korea.”
The winning works can also be viewed on the National Archives of Korea’s website.
The exhibition is open to all visitors without any restrictions, allowing them to appreciate the award-winning works on various themes and fields, and to feel the public’s wishes and aspirations for Busan’s hosting of the 2030 World Expo as well as the importance of record culture.
After the exhibition ends, the winning works will be moved to the National Archives History Records Center located in Yeonje-gu, Busan, where they will be displayed from August 17th to September 7th.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank everyone for their great interest and participation in the Love for Records Contest, which hopes for Busan’s hosting of the 2030 World Expo.” He added, “Our city will continue to strive to raise awareness of the importance of records and to promote record culture.”
