The signing ceremony held on the 26th at Philips Korea headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by key representatives from both sides, including AITRICS CEO Kim Kwang-jun, Head of Medical AI Division Ahn Byung-eun, Head of Sales and Marketing Division Cho Hoon, and Philips Korea CEO Park Jae-in, Head of Health Systems Business Division Kim Kyung-hwan.
Through this agreement, both companies plan to actively pursue ▲ joint marketing and sales of smart intensive care management using medical AI ▲ development and implementation of a Korea-specific smart intensive care management solution ▲ opportunities to expand to domestic and international medical institutions.
The smart intensive care management solution continuously measures dozens of patients’ vital sign data to contribute to proactive management of emergency or critically ill patients whose conditions can rapidly change. By monitoring and collecting individual patient biometric data, it enables early prediction of patient condition deterioration. Especially in intensive care units, where patients’ lives are directly at stake, establishing such a system is essential. The two companies plan to improve the workflow of medical staff in intensive care units by developing and implementing a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) solution, helping medical personnel respond quickly and accurately, thereby increasing patients’ chances of survival.
Kim Kwang-jun, CEO of AITRICS, said, “The medical AI field is gaining significant attention recently as an innovative technology that helps medical staff make faster decisions in diagnosing and treating diseases. In particular, there has been a high unmet need in clinical settings for AI monitoring technology that predicts risk factors for patient condition deterioration in intensive care units and helps medical staff prepare to respond to situations. We will strive to create synergy by combining AITRICS’ excellent AI technology with Philips’ outstanding real-time monitoring system, a leader in health technology, to benefit both medical staff and patients in intensive care management.”
