Gwangju City Provides Emergency Flood Support to Nonsan... Delivery of Daily Necessities and Volunteer Activities
Gwangju Metropolitan City recently extended its warmth by providing emergency relief supplies and volunteer activities to the citizens of Nonsan, Chungnam, who are suffering from recent flood damage.
About 50 volunteers from the Gwangju area, along with relief supplies, departed for the disaster recovery site at 6:30 a.m. on the 27th from in front of the Administrative Building of City Hall, seeing off with Deputy Mayor Moon Young-hoon and staff from the Autonomous Administration Division.
The city prepared necessary items for flood recovery sites as emergency relief supplies, including 3,000 bottles of Bityeoulsoo, ion drinks, toilet paper, and ramen.
The 50 volunteers supported house maintenance, removal of sediment from agricultural waterways, and organizing household goods in Nonsan, where flood damage such as embankment collapse and farmland flooding was severe.

Deputy Mayor Moon Young-hoon said, “We have conveyed Gwangju’s warmth to help the citizens of Nonsan who suffered from the sudden heavy rain, even if only a little,” and added, “We hope this will comfort the affected farmers and provide a small support for the residents’ return to daily life.”
