Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, announced that the operation of a complex playground facility linking Jinbo Kids Cafe and the outdoor fountain (located on Jinbo-ro, Jinbo-myeon) is not only serving as a playground for children during the summer but also acting as a resting place for local residents.
Jinbo Kids Cafe is divided into areas such as an infant playroom, toddler playground, exercise zone, and rest area. It is a children's play facility equipped with various indoor play equipment including net climbing, various types of slides, ball pits, trampolines, and screen motion shooting games, as well as an outdoor fountain suitable for water play during the summer.
Since its opening on August 14, 2020, the cumulative number of visitors has reached approximately 50,000 as of June 2023. Visitors from neighboring cities and counties continue to come, and word of mouth has been spreading, generating a strong response.
In particular, the outdoor fountain, operated in July and August in connection with the kids cafe, serves as a water playground for children and cools down the summer heat, receiving great popularity among local residents and families visiting Cheongsong.
The water used in the outdoor fountain is tap water supplied by the waterworks, and it is thoroughly managed through water tank cleaning and water quality inspections. This year, a children's water play air bounce and changing rooms have been installed, gaining popularity among visitors enjoying water play.
