Gyeonggi-do Provides 16.9 Billion KRW Cooling Cost Support to 310,000 Vulnerable Households
Gyeonggi Province will provide 16.9 billion KRW in cooling cost support to vulnerable groups.
On the 26th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it held a Disaster Relief Fund Management Deliberation Committee meeting in writing on the 19th and prepared an "Emergency Cooling Cost Support Plan for Vulnerable Groups" worth 16.9 billion KRW. The province plans to distribute the funds sequentially by city starting in August.
Earlier, on the 18th, the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Safety and Administration Committee amended the "Gyeonggi Province Disaster Relief Fund Operation and Management Ordinance" to establish a legal basis for supporting cooling costs for vulnerable groups.
Specific support details include ▲50,000 KRW cash payment per household to 318,324 basic livelihood security households ▲125,000 KRW (one month) reimbursement per senior citizen center for 7,892 centers ▲reimbursement within 375,000 KRW (three months) per cooling shelter (village and welfare centers) not receiving national funding, covering 33 locations.
