National Gwangju Science Museum Summer Vacation Special Week Event Held
The National Gwangju Science Museum has designated the period until the 27th of next month as a special summer vacation week and will hold a series of diverse science and culture events.
First, the ‘Water Science Experience Center,’ which opened on the 21st, has been fully booked through online advance reservations every day, establishing itself as a representative urban summer retreat in Gwangju.
Compared to last year, the scale has been greatly expanded with various experiences such as air bounces and water soccer fields, as well as various convenience facilities and staff holding lifeguard and nursing certifications, ensuring fun, cleanliness, and safety without any gaps.
Starting from the 25th, the special summer vacation play exhibition ‘Let’s Play’ will be held.
This event, themed around ‘play,’ revisits hidden scientific principles and socio-cultural meanings through various experiences.
Composed of a total of four zones?‘The People of Play, Play and Rules, Play and Art, The Future of Play’?with over 40 different play experiences, it offers plenty of enjoyment for people of all ages.
On the 31st, a special astronomical public observation program will be operated to observe the supermoon, the largest full moon of the year, and from the 1st of next month, the ‘Special Summer Vacation Regular Education Program,’ consisting of popular themed educational programs, will also be conducted.
Various gifts are also prepared for this special summer vacation week. From the 8th to the 20th of next month, souvenirs will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to visitors in the morning and those visiting during the heatwave period.
