KB Kookmin Bank "4 out of 7 Default Option Products Exceed 10% Returns"
KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 24th that out of the total seven default option products launched since the first setting of the retirement pension default option product, four products have achieved returns exceeding 10% as of the end of last month.
The retirement pension default option system, which was fully implemented on the 12th of this month, is a system where the accumulated funds are automatically invested in a pre-selected product when the subscriber does not provide separate investment instructions.
Thanks to this year's stock market rise, the annualized return of KB Kookmin Bank's default option product with a high-risk portfolio 2 exceeded 21%. In addition, the medium-risk product 1 achieved 15.42%, high-risk product 1 achieved 13.37%, and low-risk product 2 achieved a return of 10.83%.
In the case of KB Kookmin Bank's default option high-risk product 1, it recorded the top performance among all default option products based on the second quarter data announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor on July 19 (5.83% for 3 months, 14.16% for 6 months).
KB Kookmin Bank's default options are characterized by product names designed to easily understand the expected returns and risk levels by portfolio at a glance. The ultra-low-risk product is named ‘Jikyeodeurim’, the low-risk product is ‘Alphadream’ (pursuing regular deposit plus alpha returns), the medium-risk product is ‘Ppullyeodeurim’, and the high-risk product is additionally guided under the nickname ‘Modudream’. KB Kookmin Bank plans to launch three additional products in the second half of the year in addition to the seven currently in operation.
Jeon Dongsook, Head of the Pension Business Division at KB Kookmin Bank, said, "To create high-performing funds and portfolios, we determined the operational proportions of the constituent products through about 5,400 simulations," adding, "This high return is the result of creating products that ultimately meet customer demands by considering various factors such as customer investment tendencies, lifecycle suitability, and the recognition of asset managers."
