aT to Support Heavy Rain Damage... Reduction of Flower Auction Fees
Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced on the 21st that it will reduce auction fees to support flower farmers affected by the heavy rain.

On the same day, aT held an emergency countermeasure meeting and prepared a recovery support plan for farms damaged by the heavy rain. aT also plans to expand its discount support projects for agricultural and livestock products and raise flood recovery donations through voluntary participation of its employees and its own funds.
Earlier, aT President Kim Chun-jin visited areas affected by heavy rain for three days starting from the 16th, including Goesan in Chungbuk, Iksan, Gimje, Wanju in Jeonbuk, and Gwangju.

The day before, aT inspected the flood damage situation in the rice and soybean cultivation area in Gimje, Jeonbuk, and held a meeting with farmers. Gimje is a major production area for strategic crops such as wheat, soybeans, and rice flour, which the government is intensively fostering for food security purposes.
