Ozone Advisory Issued in Southeast Region... Seoul Urges "Avoid Outdoor Activities" Across the City
The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Institute of Health and Environment issued an ozone advisory for the southeastern region of Seoul as of 5 PM on the 21st. The affected districts are Seocho, Gangnam, Songpa, and Gangdong.
As of 1 PM on the same day, an ozone advisory had been issued for 21 districts in the central, northwest, northeast, and southwest areas of Seoul. An ozone advisory is issued when the hourly average ozone concentration reaches 0.12 ppm or higher. As of 5 PM, the highest ozone concentration in the southeastern region was recorded in Seocho District at 0.1678 ppm.

The city urged, "Repeated exposure to ozone can cause damage to the eyes and bronchial tubes, so children, the elderly, and those with respiratory or cardiovascular diseases are advised to refrain from outdoor activities."
