Massage Chair Sales Record 29% Growth Compared to Q1
Plans to Launch Multiple Products in the Second Half of the Year

Bodyfriend showed strong performance in the second quarter of this year. In particular, the medical device segment is experiencing rapid growth.

According to Bodyfriend on the 21st, total massage chair sales in the second quarter reached 106 billion KRW, marking a 29% growth compared to the first quarter. Sales in the medical device segment grew by 115% during the same period.

A Bodyfriend representative explained, “Since Family Month in May, the sales of massage chairs have shown a clear upward trend. The home medical device ‘Medical Phantom,’ which gained tremendous popularity since its launch in April, played a major role in driving overall sales. The medical device product group, which accounted for 26% of sales in the first quarter, jumped to 46% of sales in the second quarter.”

Bodyfriend has consecutively launched innovative products based on differentiated technology. Starting with the massage chair ‘Phantom Robo’ last summer, the company introduced the home medical device ‘Medical Phantom’ and the home healthcare trainer massage chair ‘Da Vinci’ in the first half of this year.

The cumulative sales of Medical Phantom, released in April, reached approximately 10,000 units. Da Vinci targeted a broad consumer base ranging from young generations interested in exercise to active senior groups, achieving cumulative sales of around 900 units. A Bodyfriend representative said, “In line with the product advertising slogan emphasizing the home healthcare trainer, it has attracted market attention for its customized healthcare solution function that analyzes body composition and recommends massages accordingly.”
