Jinju City Council Promotes Ordinance to Support Vehicle Operation at Reserve Forces Training Grounds
Preliminary Review Amendment Approved by the Planning and Culture Committee
On the 18th, it was announced that the "Ordinance on Supporting Vehicle Operation at Jinju City Reserve Forces Training Center," jointly proposed by 14 council members including Councilor Shin Hyun-guk, was approved with amendments at the 249th Jinju City Council Extraordinary Session Planning and Culture Committee.
This ordinance primarily aims to support the expenses incurred when vehicles operate to the training centers designated by the reserve forces training commanding unit, to facilitate the entry of Jinju City reserve forces members into the training centers.
Since the reserve forces training center located in Jinju is currently under construction, the Planning and Culture Committee partially amended the original proposal to ensure full support for members who must travel to Sacheon for the time being.
Although five city bus routes pass through the reserve forces training center located in Geumgok-myeon, the long intervals between buses have caused dissatisfaction as passengers cannot board at their desired times or experience overcrowding during certain time slots.
With the passage of this ordinance through the standing committee, it is expected that the convenience of entry for reserve forces members residing in the western Gyeongnam area will be greatly improved.
Councilor Shin, who was the main proposer of the ordinance, stated, "I hope this will boost the morale of reserve forces members participating in training and resolve the inconvenience of transportation."
