Uljin-gun Completes Preparation for Safe Valley and River Water Play Areas
Safety Equipment and Personnel Deployment ... Full Effort to Prevent Water Play Accidents
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, operates water play areas in major valleys and rivers to ensure that vacationers can enjoy a safe summer holiday.
The water play areas, which operate until the end of August, are located in 15 spots across 4 eup and myeon, including Bulyoung Valley, Wangpicheon, Gwangcheon, Hugokcheon, Sinseon Valley, and Gwangpum Waterfall. Thorough safety measures have also been put in place. To ensure the safety of water play visitors, safety equipment is provided and safety personnel are deployed to thoroughly prevent water play accidents.
Each water play area is equipped with safety gear such as ropes to restrict access to deep water areas, lifebuoy boxes, life jackets, lifebuoys, and rescue ropes for lifesaving purposes.
Additionally, 38 safety personnel have been exclusively assigned for lifesaving and water play safety guidance. Notably, all safety personnel completed safety and lifesaving training on June 13 and obtained certifications, enhancing their professional expertise.
