This follows the Public Procurement Service's announcement on the 11th, selecting 113 institutions to pilot 59 innovative products worth 9.9 billion KRW to revitalize the domestic biohealth industry, and publishing the results on the Innovation Market.
Through this project, Waycen will supply the AI gastrointestinal endoscope WAYMED Endo to three national hospitals: Gangwon-do Gangneung Medical Center, National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital, and Korea Veterans Health Service Central Veterans Hospital, thereby securing references in national hospitals. Notably, all three hospitals will implement the endoscope not just partially but throughout their entire endoscopy departments, indicating a significant scale.
Waycen has been steadily expanding its customer base by supplying this product to numerous domestic hospitals, and by supplying it to these three public hospitals, it is expected to gain momentum in sales not only in private hospitals but also in public hospitals.
WAYMED Endo is a medical AI software that analyzes stomach and colonoscopy images in real-time to detect abnormal lesions and provide disease probability. Recently, it secured the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's Class 3 approval as the first domestic AI gastrointestinal endoscope. It is attracting high interest from hospitals and screening centers because it can be integrated with existing endoscopic equipment to introduce AI technology.
