Both parties plan to establish a more advanced collaboration system through this agreement and maximize the win-win effects. While continuously developing new products through the existing regional agricultural specialty product certification project, they will also provide consulting to enhance product competitiveness.
Additionally, to ensure that high-quality agricultural products produced each season can be sold at appropriate prices despite unstable market conditions, they will increase the volume of contract cultivation purchases and contribute to expanding sales channels by supplying the procured raw materials to food service and catering businesses evenly distributed nationwide.
Through this agreement, CJ Freshway will supply high-quality domestic agricultural products to its clients at stable prices and exclusively develop high value-added products incorporating regional specialty items to deliver to food service clients. They are also considering introducing these products as menu items in group catering and concession businesses.
Since 2020, CJ Freshway has supported the development of distribution channels for regional products in cooperation with Gangwon Province. Sales of regional specialty products discovered by CJ Freshway and certified by Gangwon Province, such as potato ongshimi meal kits and Pyeongchang gondre vegetable convenience foods, have increased by an average of 133% annually over the past three years.
