Gwangjin Scholarship Foundation Donates Over 1 Billion KRW in Scholarships, Leading Efforts to Discover and Nurture Talented Individuals
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) received a scholarship donation of 20 million KRW from the Gwangjin Scholarship Foundation on the 12th.
The scholarship fund was raised through donations of 10 million KRW by Lee Tae-hwa, Vice Chairman of the Gwangjin Scholarship Foundation, and 5 million KRW each by Choi Seung-gyun and Kim Eung-yeop, committee members.
The donation ceremony was held with the attendance of Mayor Kim Kyung-ho, committee members Choi Seung-gyun and Kim Eung-yeop.
Established in 1995, the Gwangjin Scholarship Foundation has donated over 1 billion KRW in scholarships to date, supporting a total of 739 students and taking the lead in discovering and nurturing outstanding local talents.
In particular, Vice Chairman Lee Tae-hwa and committee member Choi Seung-gyun have consistently practiced sharing by donating 120 million KRW and 15 million KRW respectively up to last year.
