Cheongsong-gun Proves Excellence in Health Promotion... Wins Two Awards at This Year's Local Government Joint Performance Competition
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, was honored as an outstanding institution in the evaluation of regional health care plan establishment and health promotion project strategy at the 2023 National Local Government Joint Performance Conference hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

View original imageAt the performance conference held on July 7th at The-K Hotel in Seoul, Cheongsong-gun received high praise in the establishment of the 8th regional health care plan, a mid- to long-term plan in the health care sector, for strengthening primary medical services for the elderly, operating customized health programs based on regional health behaviors, and creating a high-quality medical environment, leading to its selection as an outstanding institution.
In addition, in the health promotion project strategy sector, Cheongsong-gun installed and operated a health promotion center for residents in the southern mountainous area who have difficulty benefiting from health services. Programs such as the "Georeuma Nalsallyeora" (Step Up to Save Me) exercise and online aerobics provided energetic exercise programs to local residents exhausted by COVID-19, receiving great responses from the community and earning the Minister of Health and Welfare’s Commendation at this performance conference.
