The Childcare Policy Committee is composed of childcare experts and daycare center directors and plays a role in discussing policies to create a child-friendly city while gathering broad opinions from various sectors.
In his greeting, Mayor Park Gang-su expressed gratitude to the committee members for their cooperation in advancing childcare in Mapo-gu, stating, "Low birth rates are a problem for all of us, and I expect the Childcare Policy Committee to play a significant role in addressing this issue by providing high-quality childcare services that make children happy."

The district plans to gradually expand the Mapo-style Daycare Pilot Project from 4 centers this year to 10 centers next year, and to open a district-run Sunlight Center on the 2nd floor of the Mapo-gu Health Center later this month, providing one-stop support from pregnancy to childbirth and childcare.
