On the 8th, Director General Grossi told Yonhap News in an interview regarding the Reuters report about internal disagreements, "No expert told me that they disagreed with the content."
He added, "I saw reports that one expert had a different opinion, but I have no idea what that means," emphasizing, "What I can say clearly is that the report was prepared according to rules and standards."
Regarding claims that the IAEA report was biased toward Japan, Grossi said, "It was not biased toward Japan at all, and what the IAEA did was not for Japan," adding, "Japan requested us to review whether their treatment procedures comply with international safety standards, and this can be a good precedent."
He also denied suspicions that the IAEA released the report to coincide with the Japanese government's schedule for discharging contaminated water, saying, "It took two years to publish the comprehensive report."
