Silla University, Workshop to Strengthen Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation and Educational Innovation Capabilities for Faculty and Staff
The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Silla University held a ‘Faculty and Staff Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation and Educational Innovation Capacity Building Workshop.’
The event took place on the 3rd at the Asti Hotel in Busan, with President Heo Nam-sik and about 150 faculty and staff members attending.
The workshop was held to share the first-year achievements of the LINC 3.0 Project Group, diagnose project capabilities, achieve second-year project goals, and strengthen the university’s industry-academia-research cooperation capabilities.

View original imageAt the event, there were special lectures including ‘Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Measures to Overcome Regional Crises’ by Kim Seok-su, Director of the Busan Regional Innovation Platform General Operation Center, and ‘University Startup Education Innovation’ by Ko Hyuk-jin, President of the Korea Startup Education Association. There was also time to explore ways to strengthen cooperation with local governments such as the upcoming RISE project and to enhance the university’s startup capabilities. Additionally, breakout discussions on departmental work improvement plans for university innovation were conducted.
President Heo Nam-sik of Silla University said, “I consider it meaningful that a workshop was held where members gathered outside the school to share opinions on industry-academia-research cooperation and educational innovation,” adding, “I hope this workshop will be a valuable time for our university to achieve change and innovation.”

Lee Beom-jin, Director of the LINC 3.0 Project Group, stated, “This is a time when the interest and cooperation of all university stakeholders are needed for the second-year project,” and added, “We will effectively enhance the industry-academia-research cooperation capabilities of all members of our university through this workshop.”
