LG Electronics Q2 Record Sales... Operating Profit 892.7 Billion Won '12.7% ↑' (Update)
LG Electronics announced on the 7th that its consolidated sales for the second quarter of this year amounted to 19.9988 trillion KRW, according to preliminary results.
The sales increased by 2.7% compared to the same period last year, marking the highest sales ever recorded for the second quarter.
Operating profit for the second quarter was 892.7 billion KRW, up 12.7% from the same period last year. In terms of sales, the company expanded the proportion of business-to-business (B2B) transactions, such as the automotive components business, achieving an all-time high. Operating profit recorded the second highest figure ever for the second quarter, driven by accelerated qualitative growth of the business.

The cumulative sales for the first and second quarters combined reached 40.4147 trillion KRW. For two consecutive years, sales exceeded 40 trillion KRW, and operating profit totaled 2.3901 trillion KRW, surpassing 2 trillion KRW for three consecutive years.
