Hitecson's subsidiary, Korea Gold Exchange, announced on the 7th that it has started selling various gold products using a precious metal vending machine (hereinafter referred to as the gold vending machine).
Recently, gold vending machines designed to allow easy and quick purchase of gold have been spreading in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and other countries. Korea Gold Exchange, the number one precious metal platform service provider in Korea, has also joined this trend.
The gold vending machine from Korea Gold Exchange, which made its debut on the 4th at Emart Yongsan Branch, offers 10 types of precious metal products including gold items weighing from 1 to 10 grams such as stone rings, gold spoons, and gold bars, as well as 10g platinum bars and 1oz silver bullion medals.
By simply tapping the kiosk screen a few times like ordering coffee, customers can purchase their desired product in about one minute.
Additionally, to minimize issues related to lost card misuse, the machine is equipped with two built-in CCTVs. It also features card payments only through mobile phone identity verification (including Samsung Pay and Apple Pay).
The prices of these products, which come in card-type packages containing warranty functions, fluctuate daily reflecting international market prices.
Song Jong-gil, CEO of Korea Gold Exchange, said, "We launched the gold vending machine business to respond to rapidly changing market conditions while enhancing user convenience."
