Hapcheon Video Theme Park Opens Joseon Governor-General Immersive Video Hall
Scheduled to Present a Performance for Tourists
Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam is set to open an immersive sound and video experience space within the Joseon Governor-General's Office at Hapcheon Video Theme Park on the 8th.
This project is part of the 'Remember Hapcheon Video Theme Park Project,' a plan-type regional development project announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2019, aimed at creating historical video content inside the Joseon Governor-General's Office and establishing a Hapcheon tourism exhibition hall.
The Joseon Governor-General's Office building is a two-story structure that remained vacant after completion. Through this project, the first floor will be developed into an immersive experience hall (90.411㎡), while the second floor will house a healing video hall (149.14㎡) and an interactive experience room (18.82㎡). The historical stories of the Joseon Governor-General's Office and major tourist attractions in Hapcheon will be presented to visitors through 360-degree immersive sound and video, delivering an overwhelming performance.
Hapcheon Video Theme Park is a leading domestic open set used for filming movies, dramas, and commercials, but there have been criticisms about the lack of attractions for visitors to enjoy. With the opening of this immersive video hall (immersive sound and video experience space) utilizing 360-degree surround sound and video, it is expected to delight visitors' eyes and ears even more.
