Gokseong-gun Operates 'Running People's Petition Service'

Consultations on Vulnerable Groups, Intellectual Disputes, and Consumer Disputes

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it will operate the "Running People's Petition Office" on the 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Gokseong-gun Office Daetongmaru.

The "Running People's Petition Office," operated by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, is a service created for residents who have grievances or inconveniences but find it difficult to visit institutions or are not familiar with using the internet.

This service involves professional investigators visiting the area to consult and handle residents' grievances.

The professional investigators consist of staff from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and public institutions.

The Running People's Petition Office provides consultations in various fields, including general administrative civil complaints, corruption and public interest reports, administrative appeals, civil and criminal law related to daily life, vulnerable groups outside the institutional framework, disputes related to land, consumer damage and disputes, and labor issues.

Even if there are no grievances or inconveniences, residents can receive consultations if they have suggestions regarding administrative systems or require other legal consultations.

There are two ways to receive consultations: by making a prior reservation or by visiting on the day of operation.

If residents inform their desired consultation topics in advance through the town office or county office, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission reviews the content and provides more detailed consultations.

Residents who have not made prior reservations can also visit the consultation site on the day of operation to receive consultations.

A Gokseong-gun official said, "We hope that the Running People's Petition Office will resolve the long-standing inconveniences of residents. Especially, this Running People's Petition Office will also provide consultations to residents of nearby Gurye-gun and Sunchang-gun, so we ask for many visits."
