Busan Port Authority Announces Call for Research Projects for ‘BPA Jump Up Campus’
Busan Port Authority (BPA) is calling for applications for the 2023 support projects of the ‘BPA Jump Up Campus,’ a research support program related to Busan Port and its associated industries for graduate students nationwide, until July 14.
‘BPA Jump Up Campus’ aims to nurture future experts in the field of port logistics by providing funding and expert consultation for research on Busan Port and related industries to master's and doctoral graduate students across the country.
Since its launch in 2019, the program has supported 28 research projects at 7 universities. In 2022, the scope of support was expanded from the Busan and Gyeongnam regions to nationwide, continuously improving and strengthening the support content through ongoing feedback collection.
Through this initiative, BPA plans to increase interest among young people in Busan Port and related port industries, invigorating the entire related sector by continuously nurturing and supporting future experts.
Additionally, BPA intends to facilitate the exchange of opinions and sharing of perspectives between young researchers and practitioners on current issues related to Busan Port and its fields, aiming not only to support research but also to achieve joint development between researchers and the industry as a whole.
The application period for research projects is open until July 14. Applicants should refer to the announcement posted in the notices section on the Busan Port Authority website, prepare a research proposal, and submit it via the official submission email.
