Im Jong-seok: "Yoon, Undoubtedly Targeting Moon... Has He Become an Ideological Prisoner of the Cold War Era?"
President Yoon Suk-yeol made a strong statement effectively targeting the Moon Jae-in administration, calling it an "anti-state force," prompting criticism from former Blue House Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok, who served during the Moon administration, saying, "How did we become prisoners of Cold War ideology?"
On the 29th, former Chief Im quoted President Yoon's remarks on his social media (SNS), saying, "There is no doubt that this is aimed at the Moon Jae-in administration. I cannot believe these are the words of the president. They are too blatant and too harsh, I am at a loss for words."
The previous day, President Yoon stated at the 69th anniversary founding ceremony of the Korea Freedom Federation, "Anti-state forces with distorted historical consciousness and irresponsible national views were singing about the declaration of the end of the war." The "declaration of the end of the war" was one of the Moon administration's key North Korea policies.
Former Chief Im said, "No matter how much politicians are treated as outcasts, the words of the president and the ruling forces should carry more weight of responsibility," adding, "How long must the people endure the embarrassment of a grown child frequently running around naked in the neighborhood?"
